Everything About Packages

I Have a Question about Missing AUR files . Is it save to remove or need to switch to other packages .

:: Searching AUR for updates...
 -> Missing AUR Packages:  garuda-modem  lib32-vkd3d-proton-tkg-git  libretro-pcsx2  proton-tkg-git  wish-wallpapers
 -> Orphaned AUR Packages: dropbox-kde-systray-icons libunity nocturn
 -> Flagged Out Of Date AUR Packages: dropbox-kde-systray-icons libunity
 there is nothing to do

Its safe to remove them

3 posts were split to a new topic: Can't build Natron 2.3.15-1

Hi,
Would you reupload citra-canary-git-r8968.6bbd080f2-1 ?
Thank you! :slightly_smiling_face:

Did it get updated to a newer version? nvm I saw the problem after trying to install myself, will fix.

Can you add creepy?

Last commit on this repo was in feb 2014

So, it misses many security patches and it is most probably outdated as well.

using default add/remove app, unreal engine will install and fail at the end saying there is permission / security fault

Hi,

It looks like the firefox-nightly package on the chaotic-aur hasn't been updated since march 18th.

I'm not sure how to update the pkgbuild for chaotic-aur packages either compared to AUR. For manually updating AUR pkgbuild I would run:
$ pamac build firefox-nightly
$ e (to edit pkgbuild)

Its actually already updated since an hour ago to firefox-nightly-89.0a1.20210324 :eyes:

I have installed both the KDE (Dragonized) and Gnome versions of Garuda and both have an optional post installation step 'Install additional [KDE / GNOME] applications' but there is no further explanation or list of packages (at least that I could see).

Is there an easy way to see what packages are installed by this step? Does this step refer to a specific metapackage?

Have you checked to see if detailed on the gitlab?

Here are the lists: (should be selfexplaining I guess?)

Thank you @dr460nf1r3 just what I was looking for!

Wow KDE installs a bunch more additional packages compared to GNOME, but I suppose this is inline with the philosophies of each DE.

Actually most of these are redundant as they are installed anyway, gotta clean this up :smiley:
