Just to close the loop, as far as the reflector / arch mirrorlist is concerned, I'd not limit it to the Italian mirrors only (I don't know if they are fast and stable, but they are only two!), so I'd go for the upd, which does not consider the country (at least keep this is mind for the future in case of troubles wth those mirrors).
