I try to open up Emacs(Client) from the KDE Menu which has the following setup

sh -c 'if [ -n "\$*" ]; then exec emacsclient --alternate-editor= --display="\$DISPLAY" "\$@"; else exec emacsclient --alternate-editor= --create-frame; fi' placeholder %F

Nothing opens up, I have tried changing it to

emacsclient -c

but nothing opens. I am using the fish shell but have also tried it in bash.
if i type(in terminal):

sh -c -c 'if [ -n "\$*" ]; then exec emacsclient --alternate-editor= --display="\$DISPLAY" "\$@"; else exec emacsclient --alternate-editor= --create-frame; fi' placeholder %F

then it opens correctly but not via the menu. Please help.
