I booted into Garuda from a usb drive and the docks were there, both app dock at bottom and the top bar. After the intall and restart they disappear. Googling to me to install latte-dock, but I couldnt get that to install. New to arch and just vaguely familiar with some linux distros
Welcome to the community. ![]()
Please post your garuda-inxi as requested by the template.
I assume you’re using KDE Plasma. Have you tried switching to the default theme (Breeze) and then back again?
Latte Dock has been dead for a long time, so you shouldn’t try to install it.
As for the scroll issue in Rani, there’s already a thread about it:
ONE issue per topic, please.
Ok, i have no graphical way to find my snapshots of the screen or open a browser on the garuda machine. I will work on getting those sorted and posted. Thank you
Which Garuda edition do you have installed?
If you are using KDE Plasma as your desktop environment, use Meta + E to open dolphin.
Use Ctrl + Alt + T to open the console and enter
firedragon
to open the browser.
I got that figured out and took screen shots of inxi but cant upload due to being new user.
To avoid spam and other nonsense, new users are not allowed to post pictures. You can use an external pic hoster for this.
And please, no pictures from the terminal - copy the output from garuda-inxi, open the browser via the terminal, log into the forum, and paste it here as a code block. Or you can use this
garuda-inxi | tb
in the terminal and post the link.
And please answer all questions:
Garuda Dr460nized, sorry I hadnt included it. Below is my inxi output.

ode here
First, open the terminal and run a system update:
garuda-update
When that is complete, reboot:
reboot
If you still do not have any panels, try resetting the theme:
lookandfeeltool --resetLayout --apply Dr460nized
and then reboot again.
Resetting the Layout fixed it. Thank you
