Considering the openness towards alternative tools (bat, fish, btrfs) did you also consider doas?
Did you know, sudo has 200k lines, compared to doas with 400?

This is one screw up Manjaro made that I hope Garuda doesn't repeat. When doing updates in Manjaro that extra Doas password prompt in Manjaro is truly annoying.
Been using doas for quite awhile now, love it!!

Distributions looking to make their mark often try re-inventing the wheel. "Added value" where none is needed is the bane of small-minded developers.
