Hello.
Hello, this is my first time posting on a forum like this, so I might screw this up, but I have searched for an answer to my problem for days, and have found absolutely nothing.
So, in a nutshell, here is my problem:
I installed Garuda Linux Sway on my Dell Inspiron 15 laptop about a week ago. Everything seemed to be going smoothly, until after a few hours my screen got all messed up looking. By messed up, I mean that suddenly there were green outlines around everything. the text in my terminal, the status bar on top, a video I was watching, the tabs of my broswer, literally everything. Also, some things were flipping colors and the amount of green outlines was increasing and decreasing as I used my laptop. I had no idea what was going on, so I rebooted and then it was fine. Until, it happened again. I tried to ignore it, but it got worse, to the point that the text on my screen was unreadable due to the color distortions. Also, when I have suspended my laptop and woken it back up later, it just gets worse. I thought maybe there was a hardware issue, except that when I turn my laptopl off, just before shutting down, there is the image of the Garuda symbol with the circle lines moving around it, and that image is never distorted. Which leads me to believe that this is related to Sway in some way.
Here are the things I have tried:
- looking at my CPU and ram usage: CPU was less than 10% ram was less than 30%
- reinstalled my graphics drivers: no change
- scoured the internet: apparently nobody has this issue like ever, or maybe there is a specific word for this that I don't know??
- reinstalling all of my packages: nothing
okay, now I will post the things people put in these posts
