Discover update fails, but garuda-update works?

Ops, forgot to add the question: is this normal/expected behavior? Should I ditch using Discover update and always use garuda-update?

Yes, always use garuda-update to do system updates.
It contains fixes, like a really recent fix from a thread from right below yours

common reported conflicts are fixed rather easily by the team, and then everybody can benefit by using garuda-update after the fix.

(the thread I linked was about a chaotic-aur package rebuild I think, but fixes by the team are fast regardless.)
