Desktop Environment Not Working

Hello.
I am having problems using my computer after a failed update
after i tried to update my PC with the Garuda updater, it gives me the error

:: Synchronizing package databases...
core is up to date
extra is up to date
community is up to date
multilib is up to date
chaotic-aur is up to date
:: Starting full system upgrade...
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: installing dav1d (1.0.0-1) breaks dependency 'libdav1d.so=5-64' required by ffmpeg-vulkan

i reset my PC and now i can't use my desktop environment but i can see my desktop and open apps by typing the app name.
sorry I'm new to using Linux so i don't know what that's called.
my Firefox also is grey if that helps.
i can tab screenshot and open apps just no dock or bar at the top.
i don't really know what to try and can't find any help with the error message or by searching this problem.

what do i do about updating, because it still says

error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: installing dav1d (1.0.0-1) breaks dependency 'libdav1d.so=5-64' required by ffmpeg-vulkan

when trying to update even with the command

sudo pacman -Syu --overwrite '*'

This package needs to be rebuilt. Did you install it from the AUR or from Chaotic-AUR?

Depends On : alsa-lib aom bzip2 fontconfig fribidi gmp gnutls gsm jack lame libass.so=9-64
libavc1394  libbluray.so=2-64  libdav1d.so=5-64

I'm assuming it was from Chaotic-AUR. Just took care of bumping it :slight_smile:
