please add tuba : gtk4 mastodon client
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/tuba

I’d suggest just using Ventoy.

This is something to blame on the AUR maintainer, as we’re not altering the build at all :upside_down_face:
I agree Ventoy or dd would be a much better solution in the future.

thank you

I used Converter to convert image files in my old Gnome setup - it’s a great piece of software and really useful 'Converter' is a Neat New Image Conversion Tool for Linux - OMG! Ubuntu.

I tried finding it to add to my new setup but it was nowhere to be found. After a lot of digging I found its name had been changed to Switcheroo, and as it stands it’s only available as a Flatpak Khaleel Al-Adhami / Switcheroo · GitLab.

Would it be possible for Switcheroo to be added the the Chaotic-AUR?

@Colin Due to the non-unique functionality and the burden of maintaining, it’s not likely we’ll create and maintain that package. Relevant to note: Only Flatpak is supported.

I initially had my gum face on when I got your reply because it’s a good piece of software.

I decided to use Pamac to see if there is an equivalent or better, and I stumbled across XnConvert. I’m no longer glum.

Thanks for you time.

Is it possible to include icu73-bin in Chaotic?

The package works for some packages that require upstream changes to use icu74. We never know how long it will take for 3rd parties who are not focusing enough on Linux to make such a change.

It seems required by no packages :eyes:

Makes sense, as I believe this package was submitted with the intention to provide the old libs for people who still use those packages maintained by people/companies who are slow to update upstream their Linux packages.

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/icu73-bin

But now that I think about it, it takes a few seconds to build when you install it from AUR and in a couple of months all packages should be using 74. Those that don’t probably won’t deserve to be installed anyway, so I’m not sure how useful having this package in Chaotic would be.
