I’d like to re-post also this possible scenario:

Conflicting packages when updating

This all makes me think that the last pacman update included a pacnew file for the pacman.conf, which, if not appropriately merged but overwritten/replaced, may have removed multilib from the pacman.conf in both cases in this thread. This should be checked and, if necessary, fixed of course.

I don’t see multilib here:
