Since last update with gadura update Im Locked on this wierd screen every Time i try starting my pc, i looked up on google and I tried to start it in recovery mode but it was not going any fruther than « welcome to garuda linux » and not loading any desktop
I had the same problem, restored a snap from yesterday. I don’t know which of the updates causes this, so I will wait it out. I tired downgrading linux-firmware-AMD, but that wasn’t it.
When you do the update, try to boot into the desktop. If it does not work, boot recovery mode and run garuda-diag in recovery mode.
That should give you a QR code you can scan. Send the link from the QR code here. This will provide diagnostic information that will help us narrow the issue down.
Please follow these instructions EXACTLY otherwise the logs will be useless.
It’s also okay if you do the update, reboot, try to go into desktop and if it does not work boot into snapshot and run the command.
The important part is that the boot before the garuda-diag run MUST be the one that doesn’t work.
So no rebooting into a snapshot twice or rebooting into recovery mode and then snapshot. The boot before the snapshot/recovery mode has to be the bugged one.
I don’t understand what is happening in these logs…
According to these logs, you are signing in while services are shutting down and then sddm crashes and then plasmashell crashes and then not even 10 seconds later the command to shutdown is given?
oct 30 18:10:51 gryzin-ms7918 systemd[1068]: Reached target Shutdown.
oct 30 18:10:51 gryzin-ms7918 systemd[1068]: Finished Exit the Session.
oct 30 18:10:51 gryzin-ms7918 systemd[1068]: Reached target Exit the Session.
What is actually happening on your screen? It feels like I just have shutdown logs here, not actual issue logs.
