Broken/missing audio after update

Experiencing issues related to local sound device on laptop.
Audio device no longer showing under the audio/volume controls or even under System Settings > Audio. External sound devices are listed and working normally.
There are 3x audio devices present.
1x local audio (not showing)
1x external usb hub (works)
1x hdmi (works)

This was odd as sound was previously working and issue may be related to some recent update(s)
To confirm, I used a clean USB version of the OS and sound does show up and work as expected. Therefore something is off in the present install.

I tried the Garuda Assistant > Reinstall all packages option but that seems to fail with Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded. Hoping to avoid a clean reinstall so any suggestions are welcome.

Output from running both Reinstall packages and garuda-inxi below.
Due to character limit, only the error lines were included for Reinstall packages

What did you update? Check the contents of /var/log/pacman.log or the output of paclog.

Reinstalling all packages won’t do anything unless you suspect filesystem corruption or you previously interrupted an update process (e.g. with a hard power-off).

I just ended up reinstalling since nothing else seemed to work
