bluetooth connects to my phone but not to my Tech Inc bt speaker
any help appreciated

Are you holding back the kernel for some reason?

no idea what that means

Your inxi shows you have taken an update today and do not have a pending reboot, but you are not on the latest version of your kernel. It is odd; I was just curious if you had set up an unusual configuration for some reason.

Do you mean you are able to pair your phone to the computer, or to the speaker? Is the speaker paired with any device at the moment?

Paste the output of bluetoothctl show into the thread.

Your BIOS is dated 2012. Is there an update for it?

vF8 looks to be the latest (which you have).

Please attempt to pair with the speaker, and run the same command again (during the pairing attempt).
