After installing qt5, the library libicu disappeared without even telling me. now im getting blackscreened

That’s why I’m on this different account. Restoring to a snapshot doesn’t work, if it did, I would have tried.
What I was trying to do was update qt5 to see if there were any updates. I genuinely thought that there were a bunch of updates.
Apparently I must have been installing a bunch of packages because libicu ended up disappearing from existance. Now I can’t boot my computer anymore.

In this situation I am not sure if posting a garuda-inxi would be useful this time. The only way I have to get it is by a Live ISO and… well, it’s a live ISO.

I’m still going to post it, but it will be from the last post I did. Certain things that I remember are now different, I will change. Certain things I know are different but don’t remember how, I will add 2 asterisks to the left and right of it.

garuda-inxi (with a grain of salt, maybe.):

Garuda (2.6.26-1):
System install date: 2023-07-21
Last full system update: 2024-05-08
Is partially upgraded: Yes
Relevant software: snapper NetworkManager dracut(custom) nvidia-dkms
Windows dual boot: No/Undetected
Failed units:

If you’re wondering why my system is still partially upgraded, it is because I literally can’t upgrade it normally as you may know.
I suspect that I will have to start from scratch. But if I was completely sure that there was no other way I wouldn’t be going here.
Btw, I have my cursor. But nothing else.

Aaaaand now I am a example of what happens when you don’t go back far enough, and you assume that all of them just dont work.:man_facepalming:
